Monster House Western Animation

Soon after Nebbercracker's body is brought to the hospital and DJ is left by his parents, Zee arrives at DJ's house and asks about what has happened, to which DJ simply ignores her. She then gives the lecture on DJ and when he expressed his boredom with her rules, she resorts to shattering one of DJ's mother's vases as blackmail and told him to go to bed. While DJ was upstairs, she put on loud rock music and called her boyfriend Bones, most likely asking him to come over.

Spiritual Elements

In the evening, DJ gets phone calls from Nebbercracker's house, even though nobody is there. He believes that Nebbercracker's ghost has made the house come to life. DJ overhears Bones talking about a kite which he lost to Mr. Nebbercracker when he was a small boy. When Bones leaves for home, he sees the kite which he lost long ago in the doorway of Nebbercracker's house. The trio consults supernatural expert Reginald "Skull" Skulinski, who speculates the house must be a rare type of monster created by the fusion of a human's spirit and a man-made object that can only be unbound when its heart is struck.

As the credits roll, the victims who were eaten by the house emerges from the hole. Bones finds out that Zee is now dating Skull, then Officer Landers and Officer Lister leave to "investigate" some of the trick-or-treating candy & the dog urinates on a nearby jack-o'-lantern enough to put out its flame. Monster House is a 2006 computer animated and motion capture film. It was produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, written by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, and directed by Gil Kenan.

Due to getting drunk at that time, he suddenly rough-housed her and resulting in her kicking him out rather harshly. Bones first mentions his kite to Zee when he had it when he was ten years old. Bones followed the string and it ended across the street, right on the edge of Nebbercracker's lawn.

Bones is a cruel and mean punk who takes pleasure in torturing DJ. He enjoys spending time with Zee, even though he likes to play around with her, as well. It is his bad behavior that ultimately causes Zee to dump him, claiming he has "no respect for women". Monster House was released theatrically by Sony Pictures Releasing on July 21, 2006. It received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed $142 million worldwide against a $75 million budget.

We learn via flashback that he rescued his morbidly obese wife from a freak show and pledged to love her and protect her from cruelty. When Zee kicks him out for disrespecting her, he goes to Nebbercracker's lawn where the awakened house, possessed by Constance Nebbercracker's ghost, eats him alive. That night, costumed trick-or-treaters line up at the former site of Nebbercracker's house. Nebbercracker, DJ, Chowder, and Jenny give back all the toys that Nebbercracker had taken from them over the years. As the movie ends, all the people who had been eaten by the house come out of its basement. Bones then goes over to Nebbercracker's house, and damages the lawn while teasing Nebbercracker, believing he is still home.

Role in the Film:

Jenny then decides that if he's not coming out of the Game Zone, then they are going in, and gently pushes DJ and Chowder over to him, despite their objections. Walking up to him, the three watch him play, before explaining to him about the situation with Mr. Nebbercracker's house. He tells them that he's heard rumors about human souls possessing and merging with man-made structures, turning them into monsters known as Domus Mactibilis (Deadly Home in Latin) and that to kill it, they have to attack the structure's heart. Nebbercracker then came out of his house and screamed and Bones scaring him away and taking his kite in the process. Bones' Kite (known to him as his Awesome Kite) was a thing owned by Bones, Zee's boyfriend from the 2006 animated horror film, Monster House. One of the spooky archetypes of childhood imagination -- the dark, mysterious house across the street -- is literally brought to life in "Monster House," a marvelously creepy animated feature directed by Gil Kenan. At first glance the impressive computer animation and involvement of Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis would seem promising.

On Halloween, they save Jennifer "Jenny" Bennett, who is selling candy, from the house. Jenny calls police officers Landers and Lister, but the house stays quiet when the officers arrive and they dismiss the report. DJ explains to them about what happened with Nebbercracker earlier, but they dismiss his claims. He then tells her that Nebbercracker supposedly ate his wife and roughhouses with Zee.

The house breaks free from its foundation and chases the group to a construction site. Nebbercracker attempts to convince the house that it should be destroyed while holding stick of dynamite, but the house refuses. As it tries to eat him, Chowder fights the house off with an excavator, causing it to fall into a pit. DJ is given the dynamite and he and Jenny climb to the top of a tower crane while Chowder distracts the horse. DJ throws the dynamite into the chimney, destroying the house.

He is seen later, emerging from the pit where the house uprooted itself carrying his prized childhood kite. Monster House is a 2006 Halloween-themed American computer generated animation movie, directed by Gil Kenan. It features the voice talents of Steve Buscemi as Nebbercracker, Mitchell Musso as DJ, Sam Lerner as Chowder, Spencer Locke as Jenny, Maggie Gyllenhall as Zee, Jon Heder as Skull and Jason Lee as Bones.

Chowder provides a cold medicine-filled dummy (made from a vacuum cleaner and some other objects) that should cause the house to sleep long enough for them to douse the furnace. Officer Landers and Officer Lister thwart their plan upon arrival and they are arrested when Officer Landers finds the cold medicine that Chowder stole from the pharmacy his father worked at inside the dummy. The cops place the trio in their car while they examine the house. The house eats Officer Landers, Officer Lister and the police car. DJ, Chowder and Jenny escapes the police car, but were trapped in the house.
